Vanakkam ATS members and friends

We are a community of about 90 families with a common love for Tamil culture, language, food, and heritage! Our Alabama Tamil Sangam operates by the generous contributions from our members, donors and event sponsors in the form of membership, donations and volunteering. 

By contributing to ATS, you will further extend our ATS’s vision: 

• To bring the Alabama Tamil community together, be inclusive and extend our membership and community to all in Alabama and anyone interested in learning about Tamil 

• To take the Tamil language beyond our community, educate our children, our future generations about our rich cultural heritage, educate those interested in learning about the Tamil history, language, and culture 

• To serve our community by encouraging our members and our children to serve with us. 

Tax benefits of giving to Alabama Tamil Sangam: 

Alabama Tamil Sangam is designated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit Organization by the IRS. Donations to 501(c)(3) nonprofits are tax-deductible. This means that when you make a contribution to an organization that has been designated as a 501(c)(3) by the IRS and you have not received anything in return for your gift, you are eligible for a deduction when you file your taxes.
