HISTORY
A community of 90 families with a common love for Tamil culture, language, food, and heritage! With beginnings in the 90's the community grew to be registered as a non profit organization in 2011.
MISSION
பல ஆயிரம் மைல்கள் பறந்து வந்து நாம் அலபாமா தமிழ் சங்கம் என்கிற ஒரு அன்பு கூடு கட்டியிருக்கிறோம். இந்த அன்பு கூட்டுக்கு ஒரு தலை வாசலாக இருந்து உங்களை வரவேற்பதுதான் alabamatamilsangam.org என்கிற இந்த இணையதளம். நமது அலபாமா தமிழ் சங்கம் சுமார் இருபது வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு சில தமிழ் ஆர்வலர்களால் Birmingham நகரில் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. ஆரம்பகாலங்க
பல ஆயிரம் மைல்கள் பறந்து வந்து நாம் அலபாமா தமிழ் சங்கம் என்கிற ஒரு அன்பு கூடு கட்டியிருக்கிறோம். இந்த அன்பு கூட்டுக்கு ஒரு தலை வாசலாக இருந்து உங்களை வரவேற்பதுதான் alabamatamilsangam.org என்கிற இந்த இணையதளம். நமது அலபாமா தமிழ் சங்கம் சுமார் இருபது வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு சில தமிழ் ஆர்வலர்களால் Birmingham நகரில் தொடங்கப்பட்டது. ஆரம்பகாலங்களில் மிக குறைவான உறுப்பினர்களால் தொடங்கப்பட்ட இந்த அலபாமா தமிழ் சங்கம் காலபோக்கில் தளிர் விட்டு பூ பூத்து காய்காய்த்து தற்பொழுது ஒரு சோலைவனமாக பசுமையுடன் உள்ளது.Birmingham மற்றும் அருகில் உள்ள நகரங்களில் சுமார் 50 தமிழ் குடும்பங்கள் உள்ளன. இந்த தமிழ் குடும்பங்களை இணைக்கும் ஒரு அன்பு சங்கலியாக இருந்து வருகிறது நமது அலபாமா தமிழ் சங்கம். செம்மொழியான நமது தமிழ் மொழியை காக்கவும், நமது குழந்தைகளுக்கு தமிழ் பற்றிய ஆர்வத்தை வளர்க்கவும், நமது தமிழ் கலாச்சாரத்தை தற்பொழுதைய வாழ்க்கை முறையில் இணைப்பது தான் நமது அலபாமா தமிழ் சங்கத்தின் நோக்கமாகும்.
